An Exercise In Patience

I had done quite a bit of shopping online, familiarizing myself with the market, in preparation for walking on to a dealership lot. I also knew the vehicle that I wanted because I had owned a similar one previously. My search results kept bringing me to this little dealership just down the road from me even though my search went out 200 miles. So, I looked at the inventory and there was “my” truck. It fit all the needs that I had from the vehicle I wanted to buy. I got preapproved and off to the dealership I go thinking that this should be a couple of hours and I’m out with my “neused” truck. What I didn’t know was that the bank had really messed up in processing the loan. Instead of leaving and coming back when I had my stuff together, Jimmy Scott patiently waited while I called and sat on hold, demanding that my bank make the correction while I held. After many hours, Jimmy sold me “my” truck. The staff that I met or spoke to while my wife and I were there (*Jimmy*, Bill, Martyn, James, *Michelle*, and Mitchell ((we were there a long time)), could not possibly have been nicer. I’m very pleased to know that I have a home dealership now, with people that earned my trust, respect, and hopefully, friendship. RECOMMENDATION: bring KK doughnuts!

Great truck buying experience!

I had been looking for a truck for a while but could never find a great truck with low mileage at a great price. I found exactly what I was looking for at Phillip Hawkins Motor Company. I found the truck on car gurus and called Martyn Hill to check on the truck. It was a two hour drive from my house so Martyn held the truck for me until I could get there. Found the truck I was looking for.

I had looking for a Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD for a good while but could never find one with all the options I wanted at a good price. I found a truck on car gurus at Phillip Hawkins Motor Company and called Martyn Hill to check on it. Martyn was great. He told me all about the truck and what options it had. I called the next morning to see if they still had the truck and Martyn told me he would get the keys and hold it for me until I got there. I live two hours away. I drove the truck and loved it. It had all the options I was looking for and very low mileage. They had a great price on the truck and they gave me a great trade in amount for my old truck. I’ve been buying cars for many years and had the full spectrum of experiences. The big mega dealers are typically “bait & switch” or “oh sorry that one just sold today!” Add on fees and blatant deception! Well, enter Phillip Hawkins Motor Company....the honest place to buy your next car. The entire experience is A+. I saw the vehicle on Aototrader, sent an email expressing my interest. With in an hour James called me and we talked about the vehicle and my trade. I sent him a few pictures, he sent me back a deal sheet and we agreed on the transaction. I drove 3 hours to inspect and test drive, traded my vehicle and drove the new one home. Easy, no crazy add on games just a simple “buy sell” transaction from the most sincere and friendly people you could ever imagine in a car dealership. Awesome Experience with Great People

I looked at Nissan Versa one day , went home, thought i had missed Great deal on a Great car, went to car lot me and my wife looked at car after thinking about it, after me and my wife thinking it over, i sent email about a test drive, but after looking at website after leaving lot , i thought vehicle was sold, well MARTYN called me back the next business day asking me if i was still interested in taking test drive because car was still available, after MARTYN called me and said it was still available and asking me if i was still interested i said "YES ABSOLUTELY!!," i made a beeline to the dealership bc i thought WOW , I'm not going to pass this up, i felt like i had a second chance to get it for a reason and i wasn't going to blow my chance again,( and keep in mind ALOT of other people were looking at this car too , while i was at dealership they had calls while i was there asking about the car and after i had bought the car (made my payment and sealed the deal) there was another couple AT the dealership looking at it, so i want to give MARTYN a HUGE shout out for calling me and leaving me the voicemail, these guys are AWESOME , they go out of their way and bend over backwards for you to make you have a Great experience !! Extraordinary Experience

Hawkins had the best inventory and pricing in SC and surrounding states. When I set out on my search for a Lexus I searched a 500 mile radius and every exceptional price I found happened to be on this lot. Jimmy Scott is professional and responsive but not overbearing. He genuinely cared that I found the right vehicle for me. Michelle Lemmons did most of my finance paperwork online and worked to make sure I got the payment I needed with a terrific warranty. I just purchased a Ram truck from Phillip Hawkins dealership and it was the best buying experience I have ever had. These guys have great low mileage vehicles and awesome prices. My salesman was Martyn Hill and he was very knowledgeable and the most friendly person you could ever meet. I actually went Saturday afternoon after I got off work at 3:00 p.m. and I was leaving with my new truck a little after 5:00. After driving what I thought was my last vehicle, for 16 years I was hit and car was totaled. I found myself having to purchase a motor vehicle on my own for the first time since 1990. I needed to upgrade my truck for one with towing features. We've purchased cars from Phillip Hawkins over the last 35 years. He and his staff always give you a quality vehicle with no hassle. We bought a 2015 Buick Enclave last week. It's a beautiful car and I'm sure we'll make great memories with it. My other car was purchased from Phillip 2 years ago. I told him what I wanted and he found it in Kansas City, MO. It was delivered to his lot in a matter of days. We've really enjoyed it as well. Many of our friends and family rely on Phillip Hawkins Motor Co for their vehicles. I highly recommend them!
